The Contemporary Music School

The school is run by husband-and-wife team, Peter and Maria, assisted by their three sons. We’ve been helping people on their musical journeys since 2006.

Our ethos is to provide quality instrumental tuition to all, regardless of age, gender, or additional needs. There should be no barriers to learning to play.
We understand that affording lessons can be hard, so there is no requirement to sign up for any particular number of classes and payment is made weekly. We won’t ask you to pay for the entire term up front in advance and should you ever wish to stop your lessons, you can do so without having to adhere to a notice period. We hope that being flexible will allow more students to be able to afford to learn a musical instrument.

As well as offering tuition, CMS also has two sound-proofed, purpose-built rehearsal rooms, both equipped with a full backline. Our facilities are clean and have well maintained equipment so you can rehearse in comfort. They are hireable by the hour.
